We have all tried to ignore that half-eaten bag of marshmallows in the pantry. There are few uses for those fluffy friends who seem to get sticky and stale very quickly. You may plop a few in your hot cocoa, but what the heck can be done with STALE MARSHMALLOWS?!
hmm....
I KNOW!
A
Simple
SMORE PIE!
With this lil' recipe you can enjoy the summertime treat all year round! I give you my Girlscout's honor that this pie is just at tasty as the good ol' campfire creation!
What you need:
For Crust:
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup melted butter
1/3 cup sugar
1. Combine all ingredients; press over bottom and up sides of 9-inch pie plate.
2. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
For Toppings
1/2 bag (more or less) of Marshmallows
1/2 cup Milk
AS MUCH AS YOU WANT Chocolate
1. Cook your graham cracker crust and set aside to cool
2. Then place your marshmallows and milk on a pot. Heat over medium heat until marshmallows have melted. Remember to stir constantly!
3. Pour your melted mallow mixture (say that 5 times fast!) over your crust.
4. Turn your Broiler on high and brown up the top of your mallow pie. KEEP AN EYE ON IT! Just like when you are cooking smores, this CAN catch fire! Remove from oven when the top is browned.
5. Then melt your chocolate in the microwave and drizzle all over the place!
